Introduction#
Tiptrans is a logistics company headquartered in Europe, providing registered users with free receiving addresses in mainland, Hong Kong, Czech Republic, Germany, and the UK for forwarding letters and packages.
Open the official Tiptrans website and click "GET STARTED" in the upper right corner, then select the "FREE" plan. This plan includes unlimited storage, free photos, free storage for 30 days, and a $5 service fee for some address storage.
Registration#
When registering for Tiptrans, make sure the information is correct, as the registered email cannot be changed after registration, and any modifications to the receiving information must be done by contacting customer service via email.
Enter the email address and password, as well as the recipient's real address information. Since some areas do not provide recipient phone number services for registered mail, it is recommended to include the recipient's phone number again in the address field to prevent delivery personnel from being unable to contact the recipient, which could lead to lost items.
Experience#
After receiving items, Tiptrans will contact users via email. By logging into Tiptrans, users can view photos of the specific information of envelopes/packages in the backend, and they can choose to discard or forward them. For small items being sent back home, it is recommended to use registered mail, as it is cheaper, can be tracked, and can avoid customs clearance (packages that go through customs require filling out customs information).
As shown in the picture, a $5 fee was deducted for the Hong Kong address storage, and forwarding registered mail back home costs $3.92.
Recharge#
To recharge the Tiptrans balance using a bank card or bank transfer, the account name must match the recipient's name, and the account location must be the same as the recipient's address country; otherwise, the recharge will not be credited. It is recommended to use cryptocurrency for recharging.
